The court of Marie Antoinette in 18th-Century France is the setting for this tale, loosely based on a real-life intrigue of the time. Hilary Swank is the aristocrat who falls on hard times and plots to steal a famous necklace, triggering a set of complicated events. Good support from Jonathan Pryce and Brian Cox helps make this a reasonably enjoyable, richly-costumed drama.
