A year after the live-action hit Madeline came this cartoon version of the charming children's tales by Ludwig Bemelmans. Madeline's Viennese uncle, Horst (voice of Jason Alexander), pays a surprise visit, but her happiness turns to fear when she finds she's the victim of a dastardly plot to snatch her from her loved ones, for Horst is a miserable impostor.

An amusing, sweet treat for kids, and many adults will find it a delight, too. Lauren Bacall voices the wicked Madame Lacroque at the centre of the plot.
