Susanne Bier

One of Denmark's foremost women directors, Bier originally studied arts & design and architecture.
Following studies in Jerusalem and London, she enrolled at Denmark's National Film School, where he graduation film De Saliges received positive plaudits.
Feature films include Freud Leaving Home, Family Matters, Like It Never Was Before, Credo and The One and Only.
Her European breakthrough movie was the dogme-disciplined Open Hearts with Sonja Richter and Mads Mikkelsen.
As well as directing, she also writes and acts as well as making music videos and commercials.
Recent work includes the domestic drama Brothers with Connie Nielsen and Ulrich Thomsen.
