The accomplished impressionist is best known for her unerring take-offs of the likes of Nigella Lawson and Carol Smillie on Alistair McGowan's Big Impression.
The pair - who once dated - landed the Variety Club Comedy Award 2002 for the BBC comedy show.
Ancona discovered her talent while working on a paddle steamer when she overcame the language barrier with tourists by impersonating Hollywood stars such as Marilyn Monroe and Shirley Temple.
She went on to perform as a stand up comedian and was named as Time Out New Act of the Year before working on TV series including Pulp Video and Comedy Nation.
She made her big screen debut in The Debt Collector Alongside Billy Connolly and Ken Stott before joining McGowan for Big Impression.
Ancona - who stands 6'2" - also appeared as a lesbian vampire in Steve Coogan's spoof horror series, Dr Terrible's House of Horrible.
Recent big screen work includes the comedy mockumentary The Calcium Kid with Orlando Bloom and Billie Piper.
