The Announcement

Comedy drama starring Morwenna Banks, Toby Stephens, David Baddiel and Fay Ripley. A couple hold a party to make the surprise announcement of their marriage, forcing all their friends to reassess their relationships.

Self-indulgent comedy drama that makes little of its talented British cast, which includes Mark Addy, Tom Hollander and Fay Ripley. Beth (screenplay writer Morwenna Banks) and Ross (Toby Stephens) have a dinner party to tell their friends they've got married. Each stereotypical character (including 'stud' David Baddiel) reacts in their own selfish way to the news. Minor dramas ensue.
