Whoopi Goldberg stars as a woman less than distraught at her newly-widowed status in this ensemble comedy-drama. When the dysfunctional family reunites for her mean husband's funeral, various relationship problems become exposed. LL Cool J, Jada Pinkett Smith, Vivica A Fox, Loretta Devine, Anthony Anderson and Toni Braxton all put in strong performances, but this is nothing out of the ordinary where script or humour is concerned.
