It is rare for me to have not read the book before seeing the film. The best seller caused quite a stir in the mid nineties with this harrowing tale of dependence on the anti-depressant. All round good performances from all the cast members cannot distract me from the feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg. With this in mind though it appears that the film has achieved exactly what it has set out to do, raise awareness and spark interest. I will now seek the book out to educate myself.
