An Anglo-French romance which is initially told in flashbacks about the lives of two people, jewel thief Jeremy Irons and singer Patricia Kaas.

She has split up from her boyfriend; he temporarily from his girlfriend.

They meet while in Fez after suffering blackouts and discover they both have brain tumours.

They seek a cure in a desert town, but are pursued by police.

Meanwhile, Irons feels guilt for his past thefts and decides to pay his victims back.

It's very polished, with sophisticated, muted performances, but still rather oddball stuff.
