Clarke made her name alongside James Nesbitt in Bloody Sunday, the controversial dramatisation of the British Army massacre during a civil rights protest.
Other feature film appearances include her debut in Hard Nut: A Love Story and Wild About Harry opposite Brendan Gleeson and Amando Donahoe.
She had been nominated for best actress for the Royal National Theatre Award for her performance in Medea at Glasgow Citizens Theatre.
A founder member of Belfast's Marillac Theatre Company, she toured Ireland with Ma Hat Ma Coat and the Ghandi Girls, which also played at the National Theatre.
TV credits include Take A Girl Like You, The Grass Arena and Eskimo Day as well as the series Flash McVeigh.
Recently, she appeared opposite Kris Marshall in the comedy The Most Fertile Man in Ireland.
