This crime comedy-thriller, set in Hawaii, is based on an Elmore Leonard novel, so you can be sure there's a large dose of deception and double-cross, with plenty of oddball characters.

But as this caper spirals towards its conclusion, it becomes so muddled that you end up not sure - or even caring - who is scamming who.

It all centres round a supposedly foolproof get-rich-quick plan, instigated by the beautiful Nancy (Sara Foster).

Nancy has attracted the attention of Jack (Owen Wilson), a petty thief.

But she is also the mistress of sleazy businessman Ray Ritchie (Gary Sinise), whose flunky is Bob Jr (Charlie Sheen), who in turn is having an affair with Nancy.

All this is behind the back of Ritchie's wife Alison (Frasier's Bebe Neuwirth), while local lawman Walter (Morgan Freeman) surveys all.
