As we watch two couples go out to dinner, we see their apparently happy children prepare to attempt a suicide pact: it's a gripping start to this relatively subtle drama. Juliet Stevenson (great) and Megan Mullally (not bad) are Gus and Melanie, the two mothers who fall out when Gus's son, Chris (Eric Lively) survives the attempt and is suspected of murder. Co-starring are Jessica Steen (as the detective who becomes involved with the case), Bob Gunton and Henry Czerny.
