A gentle piece of whimsy from screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (writer of the wonderful Adaptation), this screwball comedy-satire is a real oddball. Tim Robbins stars as a neurotic scientist, Patricia Arquette plays the hirsuit nature writer he loves, and Rhys Ifans is a man raised as an ape, whom the pair decide to civilise, with interesting results. Quirky fun.
