The actor attracted a wide audience as the geekish sidekick of Nicolas Cage in the Disney adventure National Treasure.
After training at New York University's Meisner Extension he made his big screen debut in the WWII short Tag in 1999.
In 2003, he made his big screen debut opposite Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in the critically derided Gigli.

The same year he wrote and directed the short Highs & Lows as well as the MTV pilot The Dustin and Justin Show.
Bartha also starred in Sidney Lumet's Thought Crimes, three intertwined stories inspired by the September 11 attacks and starring Glenn Close and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
