Vanessa Redgrave lends weight to this gentle coming-of-age tale. She plays a reclusive mourning mother who befriends a boy (Trevor Morgan) who has lost his own mother. But his father (Ray Liotta) is enraged when he discovers she's been filling his head with ideas about angels. Catherine McCormack co-stars and there's an appearance by Karsen Liotta, the infant daughter of Ray.
