Alexandre Aja

The writer and director made his feature debut with the sci-fi thriller Furia in 1997.
The son of director Alexandre Arcady, Aja grew up on film sets and his first film - the short Over The Rainbow - was selected for the Cannes Festival.
He continued to work on film while studying philosophy at Paris's Sorbonne University.
In 2002 he co-wrote the assassin drama Break of Dawn with regular writing partner Gregory Levasseur, an old school friend.
The following year he wrote and directed his second feature, the slasher movie Switchblade Romance with Cecile de France.
Upcoming projects include a remake of The Hills Have Eyes with veteran American horror director Wes Craven producing.
