Steven Robertson
Born: Shetland, Scotland
The actor received rave reviews for his debut feature performance as a cerebral palsy sufferer in Damian O'Donnell's Inside I'm Dancing.
As a teenager, Robertson honed his performing skills in village halls and folk festivals on his native Shetland.
He was encouraged to apply to the drama department of Kircaldy's Fife College and was admitted onto the course in 1997.
After leaving Guildhall, he landed work as Kent in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of King Lear and in The Seagull in Manchester's Royal Exchange.
After Inside I'm Dancing, he has featured in Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven and Laurence Dunmore's The Libertine with Johnny Depp.
