More or less picking up where the original Canadian cult werewolf movie, Ginger Snaps, left off, this is not as smartly-written, but is still a film with bite. The focus this time is on Brigitte (Emily Perkins), sister of Ginger (Katharine Isabelle, also from the original film, who has a cameo in this one). Brigitte is trying to come to terms with the death of the sister she killed in an act of compassion after she'd been bitten by a werewolf. But Brigitte, now cursed as well, finds herself involuntarily admitted to a drug rehab centre --- with no access to the monkshood potion that kept her animalistic urges at bay. To make matters worse, there's a werewolf looking to mate hot on her tail... There's less comedy and less action than the first, but this is still a fine, low-budget horror film.
