Island in the Sky

When a plane crash-lands in the Canadian wilderness, pilot John Wayne and his crew struggle to survive while the rescue team pull out all the stops to reach them. Director William Wellman helms the adventure - based on a real incident from World War II - with a typically steady hand before reteaming with Wayne a year later for more aerial adventure in The High And The Mighty.
