Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds
In the 1970s, the chances of anything coming from Mars were far greater than the chances of a household not having an LP of Jeff Wayne's vibrant sci-fi opera. Based on HG Wells' chilling tale of alien invaders, the hugely popular stage version of Wayne's 'Worlds' is captured on film here, Richard Burton's original voiceover adding extra menace to the dynamic production.

Absolutely blown away. The album has always been a favourite but watching the live interpretation is mind blowing. Every single person in the show gives 100%. A credit to Jeff Wayne.

Wow! I have been waiting to see this for ages. It was worth the wait - to see it on the screen is amazing. The mixture of cgi, musicians and acting is amazing.

Fantastic! To listen to this piece of music on an ipod/loud cd system is something, but to watch and listen is something else!
The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as Jeff Wayne conducted this fabulous orchestra. It is truly something to see the composer on stage enjoying himself and entertaining us as the audience. The charactors sing as they should and it's a delight to see Russell Watson as Nathaniel.
I would love to experience the thrill of this musical first hand now!
