A fascination with cars has certainly been profitable for Hollywood writers Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis (the men behind the Back to the Future trilogy which Zemeckis directed).

But the ropey script lets the proceedings down, choosing to find humour in the various characters' humiliation, embarrassment and even death.

Tasteless humour, brief nudity and bad language make this one unsuitable for younger children.
