Possessing more intelligence and wit than many fluffy films like this, Aspen Extreme is the first film from writer-director Patrick Hasburgh, a former Aspen ski instructor whose first screenplay is, perhaps not surprisingly, about two Aspen ski instructors. More characterisation and amusing cross-talk than you might expect in a film about beautiful people living glamorous lives, although Paul Gross, a bland lead, Peter Berg, Finola Hughes and Teri Polo are certainly easy on the eye - and the supporting cast boasts some unexpected names, among them William Russ, Martin Kemp, Trevor Eve and William McNamara.
