Stockard Channing and Peter Riegert play a wealthy couple who, unable to conceive a child, advertise for a baby in this well-made TV movie. The ad is answered by a put-upon married woman (Laura Dern) living in a trailer with four kids and a fifth on the way. The story centres on the tension between the two women - trying to get the best deal for themselves before the child is even born. Earning several Emmy nominations, it's a serious drama that could well have you in tears by the end.
