A romantic comedy that starts brightly but gets progressively less interesting. On the rebound from Natasha (Vanessa Angel), writer Jay (Jason Lee) sets up his best friend Max (Friends David Schwimmer) with publisher's editor Sam (Mili Avital). They fall heavily, but then Max, getting cold feet, asks Jay to test Sam's fidelity. Too many long speeches, too many F-words, too little heart and too little star quality make this a B-grade version of the real thing, totally without the gentleness of touch to win us over to the inevitable romance between Sam and Jay.
