A very flashy, ultra-violent, comic-strip action film from France. Dobermann (Vincent Cassel) and his gang of wierdos are bank robbers - gross-out leftovers of the Punk Generation. Ruthless to a nicety and convinced of their own self-importance and invincibility, they are, in every way, bizarrely decorated scum of the earth. Yet they are the heroes. The inspector on their trail (Tcheky Karyo) is made to be so inhuman, drug-taking and sadistic a monster that you're impelled to cheer for the bad guys. This is a sick movie for lovers of crime, drugs, gross mistreatment of women and extreme bodily harm. Its idea of an action highlight is to stick a grenade into a motor-cycle policeman's helmet and watch his head explode.
