A junior time-travelling tale (with a developing adult romance) that spans more than a century. In her building's specially altered elevator, motherless Susan (24's Elisha Cuthbert) travels back from 1998 to 1881, where she meets and befriends a fatherless Victorian girl (Gabrielle Boni). The two of them go back and forth through time until their problems are solved, but this is hardly Back to the Future. Queries about time-travelling logic are left to one side for the sake of the bigger picture, though the performances elicited by director Jim Kaufman are good.
