Best friends since they were kids, Jake Schram (Stiller) and Brian Kilkenny Finn (Norton) are single, successful, handsome, and confident young men living in New York.

When Anna Reilly (Elfman), once their childhood friend and now a beautiful and successful business woman, returns to the city, she re-enters Jake and Brian's lives tugging their hearts along with her.

Sparks fly and an unusual and complicated love triangle is created but neither of the men can pursue a relationship because of their religious beliefs.

Brian, a priest, cannot break his vow of celibacy and Rabbi Jake's problem lies in the very fact that she is not Jewish.

Also, he's constantly being set up by Jewish mothers in his synagogue, desperate for him to go out with their daughters, while his mother (Bancroft) dreams of a traditional Jewish wedding with the perfect bride.

As Rabbi Jake, Stiller once again displays his excellent comic timing, and his scenes with Elfman, Norton, and Bancroft could carry Keeping The Faith on their own.
