A film with promise that rambles too much. Set in a small California town of Baxter (home to the largest ice-cream cone... ) which is quarantined by the FBI after a huge accident and possible toxic spillage, it centres on the youth of the town and how the quarantine sets off their resentment towards their town and their lives. Christina Ricci is one of the kids with a grudge and Kate Hudson a passer by-stranded in the town who eventually bonds with the disgruntled locals. Unrealistic a lot of the time, it's fine for lovers of oddball character movies.
