Vanessa Redgrave made a low-key screen debut in this serious-minded hospital drama made as a vehicle for her distinguished father, Michael Redgrave, who plays a wealthy, deeply-caring surgeon constantly at odds with dispassionate associates. Brian Desmond Hurst's busy direction keeps our interest going, and there's sharp Eastman Colour photography along those white corridors by the Oscar-winning Robert Krasker.
