Bob Hoskins grabs one of his biggest and best Hollywood chances as drunken private eye Eddie Valiant, hired to dig the dirt on cartoon Jessica Rabbit (voice of Kathleen Turner), the sultry wife of stunt hero Roger.

This brilliantly inventive, exuberant comedy thriller, set in Toontown in the Forties, mixes humans and cartoon characters to delightful effect, providing screen time for nearly all the classic Disney and Warner cartoon characters.

Daffy and Donald Duck appear for the only time together in a piano duet, while Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny team up to baffle Hoskins with cartoon logic. A treasure.
