Some young girls might enjoy this harmless coming-of-age story, but it doesn't have wide appeal.

Twelve-year-old Madeline (Nathalie Vansier) shares her experiences of growing up with her friends (Martine Badgley and 24's Elisha Cuthbert), her aunt and her toy dog (who, rather ridiculously, comes to life in animated form).

Too many loose ends remain untied in this rambling tale.
