The actor made his feature debut in the action/comedy/thriller Bad Boys with Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in 1995.

He went on to make the independent feature The Playaz Court and the low-budget drama Carman: The Champion.

At the same time he could be seen in small roles in the American TV series Lizzie Maguire and the family comedy Max Keeble's Big Movie.

In 2002, he played the part of the 14-year-old Antwone Fisher in the drama starring Denzel Washington.
