The writer and director made his feature debut with the musical romance Bollywood Queen.

A graduate of German and drama, he has worked extensively in Germany as an assistant director on TV soaps.

Back in Britain he began directing pop videos and commercials and was a director of the controversial Channel 4 series Derren Brown: Mind Control.

Early film work included the London Love Trilogy, comprising the shorts Soul Patrol (with Sadie Frost), Paris, Brixton, and Sari & Trainers (which became Bollywood Queen).
