The actor is probably best known for starring alongside Simon Pegg in the hit British zombie spoof Shaun of the Dead.
He earned his first acting break when he created the character of gun-mad Mike for Spaced writer Pegg - and he incorporated him into the series.
He had earlier appeared in a minor role in the low-budget feature about London's drugs underbelly Underground with Ian Dury as well as The Bill and One Foot in the Grave.
As well as Spaced, Frost had a minor role in TV's Big Train and alongside Matt Lucas, David Walliams and Reece Sheersmith in Crazy Johnathans.
Other work includes Black Books with Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey and he also starred in a TV advert for Pizza Hut, directed by Spaced's Edgar Wright.
