In this comedy, Adrien Brody plays Steven, a shy young man who wants to be a ventriloquist and is still living with his parents as sister Heidi (Illeana Douglas), who's being stalked by her ex-boyfriend (Jared Harris). Following the bad advice of his punky friend Fangora (Milla Jovovich), poor Steven tries to romance single mother Lorena (Vera Farmiga). This is slight stuff, but quite sweet, with an appealing performance by Brody.
