Skandar Keynes

The actor is best known for the role of Edmund Pevensie in the Chronicles of Narnia.
He boasts illustrious forefathers: Keynes is the great-great-great grandson of the famous biologist Charles Darwin, the great-great nephew of the economist John Maynard Keynes and the nephew of the historian and Cambridge professor Simon Keynes.
The son the writer Randal Keynes, his family were well known in Lebanon as writers.
He attended London's Anna Scher Theatre School and the all-boys City of London School.
In 2001, he made his screen debut in the Jonathan Meades documentary Victoria Died in 1901 and Is Still Alive Today.
Two years later he would play the young Enzo Ferrari in the 2003 drama Enzo Ferrari (Prince Caspian villain Sergio Castellitto played the elder Ferrari).
In the summer of 2006, Keynes and his grandfather, mother, and sister were forced to flee from Beirut, Lebanon, where the family were holidaying when the 2006 Lebanon War began.
In 2004, he successfully auditioned for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe yet was unsuccessful when he went for the role of Simon Brown in Nanny McPhee.
His voice broke during filming, leaving his sister Soumaya, a regular radio actress, to voice some of his lines.
In 2008, he reprised the role of Edmund in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
