Forrest Gump
This multi-Oscar-winning whimsical fable stars Tom Hanks as a simpleton who leads a charmed existence over four turbulent decades of US history. What makes this movie tick is the sheer scope of the story, not to mention the supporting cast that includes Gary Sinise as the grumpy Major Dan and Robin Wright Penn as Forrest's love interest.
All I can say is - THE BEST FILM EVER - if you haven't seen this, you don't understand what a good film is.

Some do not rate it, some are not moved by it. I feel for them. This is just a fantastic inspirational movie that doesn't put a foot wrong. The pace is perfect and keeps you hooked until the eye-watering end. More movies like this please.

A classic film. I've seen it hundreds of times, and I still like it the same as I did the first time. Tom Hanks is great in all his films, but Forrest Gump is one of his best films. As my mum always used to say "life is like a box of chocolates" you never know what your gonna get in films but this film is just great.

I've never met anyone like Forrest Gump in a movie before, and for that matter I've never seen a movie quite like Forrest Gump. Any attempt to describe him will risk making the movie seem more conventional than it is, but let me try. It's a comedy, I guess. Or maybe a drama. Or a dream. Forrest is clever by just exactly enough. Tom Hanks may be the only actor who could have played the role. What a magical movie.

I see many films but I don't really like the mainstream ones, but I think Forrest Gump is a mainstream film with a difference. It's a film about life and real people winning. I've seen this film more than 20 times now... It's one of my favourites. A grand film.

I think Forest Gump is the best film that Tom Hanks ever did. The young boy who protrayed Tom as a boy was excellent also. His accent wasn't phony it was real. Sally Field was again excellent protraying his mother. It will make you laugh, and cry at the same time.
