Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
He's been a long time coming, but Indiana Jones is back. Maybe a little older and possibly a little wiser, the action man archaeologist is now living in a world where the Red Menace and not the Nazis are the enemy. Following a dust-up with Soviet thugs who made off with a priceless artefact from a US military base, Indy is following a trail that leads across the jungles of South America. Joining him for the ride are Shia LaBoeuf's biker sidekick while hot on his heels is icy Cold War warrior Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett). It's like he's never been away.
Indiana Jones is back and there's not a Nazi is sight. Theyve been replaced with a saucy sinister Soviet. Pre-reviews would have you believe this was a re-hash of a previously succesful franchise, however with speilberg at the helm the formula feels anything but stale. Nothing new is brought to the party but if you've seen the previous Indy efforts you'll know what to expect. Funny, exciting and action-packed, this is eveything a summer blockbuster should be.

Really exciting - I enjoyed it

Basically, a 1950's version of National Treasure 2 without the excitement. Not very exciting chased followed by a daft (even for Indian Jones Movies) finale.

Doctor Jones is back in the fourth of the series and to be honest at his age he gives it a really good go. Sad to say it doesn't fully come off. The settings and general story line are the same - old friend needs help, bad guys everywhere and the normal powerful ancient artefact (Crystall Skull). Any Indiana fan should be happy...but it takes a twist in the wrong direction - major Sci Fi. Yes, I know the ark and the cup were in the other movies but this time it's one step too far...
