Although it is a long way off some of John Hughes' classic 80s teen comedies, License To Drive has more than enough in it to keep you happy, thanks in part to the casting of the lead characters.
The Coreys Haim and Feldman were riding the crest of a wave when they signed on to this caper, in which high school teenager Les (Corey Haim) flunks his driving test which blows his chances of a date with dream girl Mercedes (Heather Graham) and disappoints his buddies.
So he steals his grandfather's pristine '72 Cadillac and goes out on the town anyway.
Although the ensuing action is hardly the stuff of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, the charismatic Coreys keep you entertained, as does a very young Graham.
You'll forget all about it as soon as you've watched it, but there's 90 minutes of fun to be had here, and more for those that remember the Coreys with a certain fondness, and sadness that this is about as good as it got for the long-haired dudes.
