As Irish rock band The Thrills release a single about Corey Haim's whereabouts, we take a look back and find out what happened to a few more stars of the 80s who fell off the map.Did their initial success lead them to a life of drugs and depravity? Or have they been quietly knitting at home?

Each street is paved with the waiters and waitresses who are actually actors and actresses, just waiting for their big shot.
But we are not interested in them. No, what fascinates us is not the failed dream of an actor who never made it. Nor is it the story about how a Hollywood success made it to the pinnacle of their profession.
What really is of interest to us is the in-betweener - the actor who made it, but only for a short while.
We want to know about the stars who retreated into obscurity because they couldn't handle the fame or the pressure.
We want to know about those stars who simply could not pick a half-decent script for their next movie and have forever paid the price by appearing in straight-to-video shockers.
The actors who are forever destined to make half-hearted stabs at self mockery in films like Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star.
There's a myriad of reasons why it all went wrong. For some of the 80s legends it didn't even go wrong. They simply shunned a lifestyle they never felt comfortable with.
Or perhaps it was a family thing. The kids are more important than any acting gig, etc.
And then there's Steve Guttenberg.
We know what they did, but to find out what happened next, click on the photo gallery at the top of the page.
