Hugh Huffing At Crash
Grant left with bill for thousands by dent to his big boy's toyDays after Hugh Grant picked up his brand-new £160,000 Aston Martin, a driver has reversed into it, leaving a dent which will cost £8,000 to repair - but no insurance details.
The actor has waited two years for the V12 Vanquish -custom-made to his exact specifications - to be hand-built.
The incident happened as Grant was playing golf with friends in Chiswick, west London. The stranger sped off from the driving range car park, leaving no information for Grant to follow up an insurance claim.
A friend of the Bridget Jones star told the Sun: "The car is his pride and joy. He had been terrified about something happening but didn't expect an accident after just a few days.
"Hugh had stopped off to hit balls with some friends. When he finished he found a massive dent in the car. He was absolutely livid.
"He just can't believe that after waiting all that time the car is damaged already."
Hugh recently revealed he was "hounded" to buy the Aston Martin - which can do up to 190mph - by young actor Nicholas Hoult, who played the kid Grant befriends in About A Boy.
