Family curses and malevolent ghosts make up the brew for this grisly horror film, which becomes pretty sinister towards the end. Denys Coop's remarkably skilled camerawork is rather negated by strange colour, as putrescent-looking as the severed hand which hovers on the edges of the film. Peter Cushing and Stephanie Beacham star.
