Andrea Di Stefano

Di Stefano came to international attention as Pepe Malas in the biopic of Cuban poet Reinaldo Arenas Before Night Falls.

He trained as an actor in New York and made his big screen debut in The Prince of Homburg followed by the lead in The Phantom of the Opera.

He starred in 1999's The Citizen before being cast alongside Johnny Depp and Javier Bardem in Before Night Falls.

Di Stefano went on to star in the thriller Almost Blue and he also played the assassin in Mike Figgis's Hotel in 2001.

Recent work includes Roberta Torre's anti-Mafia movie Angela opposite newcomer Donatella Finocchiaro.
