Well versed in the art of portraying lady sleuths after her creditable stab at Agatha Christie's Miss Marple in The Mirror Crack'd, Angela Lansbury returns as the best-selling author (and amateur detective) Jessica Fletcher in this TV movie culled from a two-part story in the popular Murder, She Wrote series. Familiar faces in the supporting cast include Jackie Cooper (Perry White in the Superman movies), Charles Napier (from Rambo), Friends' Courteney Cox and Alex Cord, who briefly threatened to become a big screen star in the Sixties, with leading roles in Synanon, The Brotherhood and the re-make of Stagecoach.
