Other acting credits include The Limey opposite Terence Stamp, Predator and Commando opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bird on a Wire.
For Action Jackson, he received a National Accosiation for the Advancement of Coloured People Image Award nomination.
Directing credits include Deep Cover with Laurence Fishburne, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit and Hoodlum, starring Fishburne, Tim Roth and Andy Garcia.
His latest directorial effort is Deacons of Defence, which reunited him with Whitaker.
