The hunt for a maniac who is raping and killing schoolgirls is the harsh subject of this grim detection drama with a well-concealed surprise ending. Frank Finlay plays the investigating police superintendent and Suzy Kendall is the schoolteacher who places her own life in jeopardy in an attempt to uncover the identity of the murderer. The film was made by Stanley Hayers, a specialist in thrillers and chillers, who makes suspenseful use of the camera-as-murderer technique.
