Eric Stoltz

The Edinburgh Festival was the first public platform for American actor Eric who's film debut was Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982. This was also the first of his many collaborations with Cameron Crowe.
Eric is well known for being dumped off the set of Back to the Future by director Robert Zemeckis who instantly replaced him with Michael J Fox. Zemeckis later justified his action: "I found myself with a very good actor playing the wrong part".
Major parts in movies such as Some Kind of Wonderful; Memphis Belle, and Singles, in which he starred with Bridget Fonda - his romantic interest of the time.
Eric's role as a paraplegic writer in The Waterdance bought him critical acclaim, and in 1993 he produced his first feature, Bodies, Rest & Motion, with Bridget Fonda and Phoebe Cates.
In 1996 Eric re-teamed with Crowe for the blockbuster Jerry Maguire, and a regular role on the successful TV medical Drama Chicago Hope ensured that Eric remained at the top of his profession.
Most recently Eric has worked on Happy Hour, Out Of Order, with William H. Macy and the sci-fi drama The Butterfly Effect.
