Although dedicated to Richard Burton, this is only a sequel to The Wild Geese in the loosest possible way. Dealing with a much darker kind of espionage (with its attendant element of betrayal), the story is closer to Harry Palmer territory than it is to the Burton film. Scott Glenn provides a muscular and laconic performance in the lead, but co-star Barbara Carrera is understandably defeated by such dialogue as `With a man like you, surely nothing is impossible? '.
