Veteran screen star Robert Young, best remembered from his days as TV's 'Marcus Welby MD', gives one of his finest performances as an elderly husband accused of the mercy killing of his ailing wife, in this sobering re-creation of a true story. Writer-director Steven Gethers never flinches from achieving the difficult objectives of his teleplay, the final moments of which offer heartrending speeches and close-ups that Young plays to perfection.
