Probably the last great performance of Natalie Wood's career. In spite of the subject - a desperate housewife's committal to a psychiatric centre - there's a lot of humour in writer Richard Shapiro's treatment of it, as the Wood character finds she has to tackle other people's problems as well as her own. A then-unknown Shelley Long is one of her fellow patients.
