One of the strongest guest casts of any McCloud adventure is assembled for this tale of a woman police sergeant (delightfully played by Teri Garr) who finds herself in charge of police headquarters at a time when it is virtually under siege (thus the reference to Alamo in the title) from a fistful of dangerous and urgent cases. Dennis Weaver takes his usual role as McCloud, and his girlfriend Chris is played as before by Diana Muldaur, nowadays more familiar to TV viewers as the ruthless Rosalind Shays of 'L. A. Law'. Director Don Siegel, who directed the Clint Eastwood film, 'Coogan's Bluff', on which the 'McCloud' series is based, makes a cameo appearance - as Sergeant Eastwood!
